The Perfect Ambrosia

After power, money and sex, what remains in the relationship is often the incredibly resilient underlying strength of a tender, vulnerable friendship.
I see this in shopping malls where an older couple walks for the exercise, holding hands and enjoying each other’s company, a look of contentment and completeness on each face. They have lived to enjoy the give-and-take wrangling of the power plays and strength struggles, they have discovered the joy of their sexuality in ways that far transcend whatever may or may not be happening between them in the bedroom, and they have communicated similar goals and means of attaining those goals.
They’ve arrived at a different level of marriage, a different season, one that may seem far removed from where we are at present.
So Men of Valour, I encourage you to do what is necessary to reach this stage of a mature relationship. Don’t allow the obstacles of premarital sex or other relational snares to entrap you and prohibit the kind of intimacy and rich ambrosia of loving connection that God connected in marriage. Give Him thanks for the woman He has provided in your life or the one He may send in His timing if you are presently single.
God Bless you
