Overcoming in the Battle of Manhood – Part 1
How old is Man? How old is the battle of Man?
Today, I will lay the foundation for our teaching this month, Overcoming in the Battle of Manhood. Be patient and read this introduction for your understanding. Search the scripture where you can.
The question, ‘how old are you’ is a simple question, but ‘how old is man’ is not a simple question. It is almost impossible to say how old man is because the battle for the glory of Manhood has caused man to lose track of his own existence.
The battle for the glory of Manhood is the second oldest battle in the history of existence. The first is the battle for the throne of God in heaven (Isaiah 14:12-14). When the battle for the throne of God ended, the battle shifted to earth and became the battle for the glory of Manhood (Isaiah 14:15-16). This battle has been on from the beginning.
Have you read that in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1). The question then is, ‘when was this beginning?’ Scientist and archeologist have said that the world and man is 6000 years old, but they are wrong. Many people also believe that Adam was the first man created on earth, but they are also wrong. It will surprise you to know that the existence of Man is older than the creation of Adam and Eve.
Let’s look into the scriptures. The book of Genesis 1:1 is a summary statement of the beautiful earth God first created. That earth was perfect. Man lived in that earth. The sun, the moon, the stars, the animals, the birds and the tress were created perfect in it, but they perished.
Genesis 1:2 says, “The earth became void and without form, and darkness was upon the face of the deep, and the spirit of God moved upon the waters.” By all indications, this is a destroyed earth. An earth in ruins. This is not the same earth reveled in Genesis 1:1. It is an earth destroyed through catastrophic violence that shutdown everything in it
How do we know this? We know from scriptures. In Jeremiah 4:23-30, God revealed the secret of the violent destruction that came upon the first earth that man lived in. It said, “I beheld the earth, and indeed it was without form, and void; And the heavens, they had no light. I beheld the mountains, and indeed they trembled, And all the hills moved back and forth. I beheld, and indeed there was no man, And all the birds of the heavens had fled. I beheld, and indeed the fruitful land was a wilderness, And all its cities were broken down At the presence of the Lord, By His fierce anger. For thus says the Lord: “The whole land shall be desolate; Yet I will not make a full end. For this shall the earth mourn, And the heavens above be black, Because I have spoken. I have purposed and will not relent, Nor will I turn back from it.
Man and everything in it was destroyed, but God said, the has not come. This was not the world of Noah. In Noah’s world, man and a pair of each living creature was preserved in the ark. In the first earth, man and everything in it were violently destroyed, but God said the end has not come.
The question is what destroyed the earth created in Genesis 1:1? That beautiful earth was destroyed because and enemy, Satan, was cast down from heaven into earth. Isaiah 14:12-15 said, “How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit.
In Genesis 1:3, God returned to earth and restored man and creation. The phrase, ‘Let there be light’ is not creation but restoration. Creation ended in Genesis 1:1. Every other command was restoration of everything that man had enjoyed on earth. It was at this point that God created Adam and Eve and restored their glory and dominion of Man. Genesis 1:26 says, “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over [g]all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
Shortly after the creation of Man, Satan relaunched his battle on the glory of Man to take over his earth (Genesis 3:1-15). Today, man is back into the battle field to redeem his glory and retain dominion on earth.
So beloved, the battle for the glory of Man is older than science and technology. It is older than democracy and ideology of men. It is not about your country or tribe, it is about your glory. There is a battle going on. Whether you are old or young, you are as old as that battle. You are either fight or die. Those who are ignorant and unprepared are consumed. What so many men are passing through today is because they ignore their true enemy on earth? They ignorantly are relaxed on earth while Satan is running riot over their life.
Global data reveal that more than 90% of people in prison today are Men. More than 51% of these men are young men. Many young men go from gang life to cultism and drugs and end up in the prison. Many never come back home. There is a battle going on over the glory of the man.
Many men are going down, but you will not go down. Man of Valour, your existence on earth is beyond pleasure, it is for a battle for your glory. In this generation, only who are armed to terminate the works of the enemy will live in glory.
As we go through this month, there are 7 declarations of prayers you Must begin to make.
1. The devil cannot take my glory.
2. A man like me cannot take my life.
3. The battle for the glory of men will not overtake me.
4. I’m on this earth to stop the works of darkness from manifesting.
5. The glory of my Manhood cannot be purchased and cannot be sold.
6. The spirit of Christ, the spirit of the over taker, the spirit of the warrior in is me.
7. I carry in me the fire of glory, and the battle for my glory shall quench. I am a spiritual overtaker.
