Anonymous: I’ve read over five suicide stories in less than two wks now in Naija, and I av to be honest with you, most of them are promising young guys with a bright future. Just yesterday I read about a young poet who drank a toxic substance to truncate his young and positive life. Years back I hardly here about all these. Fellows Nigerians, the country is in a mess, our honest youngsters who hasnt got the mind for fraud (yahoo) and desperate acts are giving up hope and fate in their future. Is this endtime or maladministration on the part of our leaders. Its becoming a hopeless situation we found ourselves. And its most unfortunate, we care less about one another, there’s absolutely love lost in all facets of our society. To be honest I’m scared, who knows who’s next?
Anonymous: I do not want to believe he took his life cos of accommodation, there is more to this story. If you have issues, speak to someone who will listen and give the best advise even if it’s not monetary… dee
This rate of suicide among is beyond what anyone would imagine. Life has placed so much pressure on men. The pressure for material achievement, expectations from people, family and society, dreams and goals has been placed before them to pursue. Failure is not an option, but suicide.
